One fold on the shelf.
The bookend is the STOLA shape, cut flat on one side. The flat side stands against your books. The fold faces the room.
A thin foot plate slides under the first books. The weight of the books holds the bookend upright, so the bookend does not need to be heavy.
The books hold it.
- Put the bookend at the end of a row of books.
- Slide the foot plate under the first books.
- Push the flat side against the books.
- For a pair, put one bookend at each end of the row.

- Choose a pair (one left and one right bookend), a left bookend only, or a right bookend only.
- Each bookend has two parts: a body and a foot plate.
- Height: 180 mm. Width: 74 mm.
- Foot plate: 100 mm long under the books, 2 mm thin.
- Body: PLA with a stone-like surface. Foot plate: PETG.
- The body and the foot plate fit together without glue.
- Colours: Bone, Beige, Olive and Navy in matte PLA. Jade White in PLA with a light gloss.
- Numbered edition: each bookend has a serial number on the foot plate. The two bookends of a pair have the same number, with L and R.

Who are they for?
For people who want to show their books: on a shelf, on a chest of drawers or on a desk. The bookends also look good without books, as small sculptures at the end of a shelf. They are a good gift for people who love books.
Care
- Remove dust with a soft, dry cloth or brush.
- Do not use water or cleaning products.
- For dry indoor rooms only. Do not place the bookends next to a radiator, next to a fireplace or in strong sunlight. Plastic can change shape in heat.
- Always slide the foot plate under the books.
Questions
Do the bookends slide away? No. The foot plate lies under the books. The more books stand on the foot plate, the better the bookend holds.
Are STOLA bookends made of metal? No. They are made of PLA and PETG, so they are light. The weight comes from the books.
Do I need two bookends? If a row of books needs support at both ends, choose a pair. A pair costs less than two single bookends. A single bookend is enough when the books end at a wall or at the side of a shelf. Choose left or right by the side where the books stand. The foot plate always goes under the books.
How long does it take to make? We make every bookend when you order it.
